Arc Finder gives adults compatible, opt-in profiles instead of assigning a single person. Open a profile, understand the shared fandom fit, and send a mutual Connect request. No Event, Hangout, or activity is required.
Built beyond swiping
Arc Finder is a bounded list with search and full profiles, not an endless card deck. There are no Like, Pass, Spark, popularity rank, attractiveness score, or pay-to-rank controls.
Where Shared Arcs works
On iPhone and Android, Arc Finder lives in the dedicated Shared Arcs tab. A shared Event or meetup and a shared activity are optional when context would help. Events keeps the complete convention catalog, while Community stays focused on Crews and chats. Shared Arcs matching is not currently available on member web.

Arc Sync is a private, pair-specific explanation based only on approved public anime, genre, and optional alignment overlap. It never scores photos, popularity, rejections, sensitive traits, paid boosts, or exact distance. Accepting Connect opens Episode Zero where required; regular chat and any dating direction still depend on compatible private, mutual choices. An Arc Sync score, profile selection, Connect request, plan, or chat is never consent to dating.

What is ArcMates?
ArcMates is an adults-only anime plans and community app for Events, RSVPs, member-hosted Hangouts, Crews, and mutual one-to-one connections through Shared Arcs.
Is ArcMates 18+?
Yes. ArcMates is an adults-only community for people age 18 and older.
How is Shared Arcs different from a swipe app?
Choose Friends, Dating, or Both, then browse compatible profiles from adults who explicitly opted into Arc Finder. Search, open a full profile, review your pair-specific Arc Sync, and send Connect. There is no endless card deck, swipe gesture, Like, Pass, Spark, popularity rank, or arbitrary direct message.
What is Arc Finder, and can I add shared context?
The Shared Arcs tab starts with Arc Finder, where opted-in adults can browse compatible profiles with no required plan or activity. You can optionally add a shared Event or meetup, or start with an anime activity such as a series, manga discussion, cosplay project, game, fandom chat, or local outing.
What do Arc Sync, Hero, Villain, and Arc Nemesis mean?
Arc Sync explains approved public anime, genre, and optional alignment overlap between two people; it is not a universal member rating or a promise of chemistry. Hero and Villain are playful, self-selected anime alignments. Strong same-side pairs may become a Hero or Villain Alliance, while strong opposite-side pairs may show Rival Found or Arc Nemesis. These labels are never moral or safety judgments.
What is Episode Zero?
After one member sends Connect and the other accepts, Episode Zero is the structured anime and scheduling introduction used by Arc Finder and connections started from a shared activity. Each person's choices stay hidden until both finish. Afterward, both privately choose whether to continue as friends, optionally explore dating, or end the Arc; regular chat opens only for a compatible mutual choice.
Does using Shared Arcs mean I consent to dating?
No. An Arc Sync score, Connect request, accepted introduction, plan, or open chat is not consent to dating. Friends, Dating, and Both are separate preferences. A dating-compatible request requires reciprocal intent, age ranges, and gender preferences, and dating can continue only when both adults privately choose it.
Can I use Shared Arcs on the web?
Not currently. Shared Arcs matching is a version 1.2 feature on iPhone and Android and may be enabled in stages. The member web experience supports Events, RSVPs, Hangouts, and Crews, but not Arc Finder enrollment or introductions.
Will ArcMates be on iPhone and Android?
The iPhone and Android apps are currently in closed testing, and ArcMates web access opens August 30. Shared Arcs matching is designed for the version 1.2 mobile apps.
Can I view an event link without an account?
Yes. Public event pages work in a browser and can link to the organizer or ticket page. Open ArcMates to save an RSVP or join event chat.
Will there be a web app?
Yes. The responsive ArcMates web experience opens August 30 for desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
How does the waitlist work?

Can I host my own Hangout?
Yes. Adults can host parties, Watch Nights, public meetups, clubs, game nights, and other Hangouts for their crew.
What does a public Hangout page show?
A browser page can show the public title, time, host, description, and general area. Protected access details, exact locations, attendee lists, and chat stay in ArcMates according to the Hangout's visibility settings.
